NEW COMICS 4/23
and a brief state of the newsstand address
Hello Gotham!
Many people have come in and tried to JEDI MIND TRICK me into closing again, asking when I’m going to close; I mention that the partial closure of march when I was only open three days was the “CLOSING” I mentioned to help my head heal. I couldn’t give an exact schedule but many people seem to think that period was dress rehearsal for shutting business down and ask when I am closing. I already did the Closing, and now we are re-opening. I am very glad my head injury wasn’t a significant or lasting one.
I have a lot of great candidates for new staff members and hope to open back up to seven days a week with three staff members here (including myself) within a month, maybe a week.
The back issue sale was a massive success at getting people just ecstatic to buy some comics, and on our end, we did succeed in selling enough of the two stores’ stock that we no longer are cramming as many tables with bins as we can, but instead giving more room t customers and families to browse what we do have.
There is a lot of comics that haven’t seen market yet from our collection, and I’m really excited to re-build the back issue collection over the next weeks and months, with a pricing philosophy more about getting the items sold than holding onto them.
